Hello all, my name is Matt Wangrycht.
I’m the fellow who started this site way back in 2009. Most of what you read throughout the pages of Fourteen40 Golf takes place in my home, the Las Vegas Valley. I’ve been a resident of this desert oasis (not sarcasm; I love it here). I’ve lived everywhere in the valley, from the east side of town, where I grew up, to the west side near Summerlin, to the southwest in Southern Highlands, and I am now happy to call the Southwest hills of Henderson my home, with zero plans to move away anytime soon. As much as I would love to play golf 5-6 times a week, I’m fortunate to get out a few times a month. Those are not the best number of rounds for a player trying to improve, but I’ll take it as it comes. I’m blessed with an amazingly supportive wife who has allowed me to transform our garage and backyard into my dream “Home” practice area. There, I take full advantage of the amenities and spend many nights outside working on my short game.
