Tim Flotte is a PGA Class-A golf professional born and raised in Seattle, Washington, and then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, to work for the PGA Tour at TPC Summerlin. While working for the PGA Tour, Tim completed the PGM Associate Program to obtain Class-A status in 2019. Shortly after completing this career milestone, his mentors, Michael Messner and Glenn Lee, encouraged him to begin the Specialized Professional Program in Teaching & Coaching.
Tim’s Specialization Program project was a junior program focused on developing a lifelong bond with the game of golf through a team-based golf season. Juniors learned about the many ways to play the game of golf, the benefits of fitness, and life skills while building lifelong friendships. This program was influenced by his golf instruction mentors, who are Top 100 Teachers Mario Bevilacqua, Jeff Smith, Joe Mayo, and Boyd Summerhays.
In the fall of 2020, Tim relocated to San Antonio, Texas, to take on a Player Development role at San Antonio Country Club. While at SACC, he quickly earned a reputation as a top teacher, having coached both the Club Champion and Senior Club Champion on his way to winning the 2022 Harvey Penick Award for Southern Texas PGA. In 2023, Tim went out on his own to launch his lifelong dream of starting Flotte Golf Academy.
